Jose Mourinho had plenty of praise for Sporting, except for a group of fans who spoiled the Lisbon derby.
Mourinho’s Benfica beat Sporting in the league on Sunday night, his first win against one of the top four since returning to Portugal.
Ahead of the match away at the Alvalade, things got heated when Benfica arrived.
Despite both clubs currently having more tension with FC Porto, Mourinho and his president Rui Costa were berated as they headed to the away dressing room.
The moment occurred inside the stadium with shouts from the VIP section of “You’re a clown” at Costa who reacted and called over security.

Post-match, Mourinho was spotted leaving the dressing room and noticed there were no VIPs, asking the cameras: “Has everyone who was here left?”
Benfica have since filed a complaint to the Portuguese football federation with better behaviour expected inside stadium facilities.
Mourinho, on his part, also took time to praise the hosts despite the tension.
Speaking post-match, he said: “It was a fantastic game. For games to be fantastic, there have to be three great teams, and with a mistake here or there, the refereeing was top-notch.
“Benfica played a great game. Strategically, they played a great, fantastic game.
“And Sporting was Sporting. Besides, the stadium was beautiful, I was commenting on that before the game, with all the Sporting fans in the stadium and our fans up there.
“It was an extraordinary game, without red cards, with two teams wanting to win.
“If a draw had been a good result for the teams, the game, strategically, would have been different.”
The result lifts Benfica up into second, but Sporting have a game in hand.
