Lamine Yamal put in a performance for the ages in Barcelona’s 3-3 draw with Inter Milan, but not everyone was convinced.
The 17-year-old scored Barca‘s first goal of the match and nearly had two more with only the woodwork stopping him as Inter had no chance.
Post-match he was the main topic of discussion, and Simone Inzaghi was full of praise.
“Lamine a talent that is born every fifty years,” he said. “He impressed me, we had to double and triple up on him.”
Defender Alessandro Bastoni was just as impressed adding: “He was incredible, probably the strongest winger in the world.
“Sometimes you have to say well done.”
Yet Marcus Thuram wasn’t quite ready to do that when asked if Lamine is the best player in the world.
“No, I don’t think so. The best player in the world is French. The second, too. He’s maybe third,” Thuram said, most likely alluding to Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele.
