Three days on from their bonkers 3-2 defeat to Inter, Juventus’ executives have learned their fate.
Sporting director Damien Comolli and senior advisor Giorgio Chiellini both went viral for abusing the referee in the tunnel at half-time.
The pair were livid over an unjust red card for Pierre Kalulu which couldn’t be overturned as it was a second yellow.
Comolli went head-to-head with the official and had to be held back by Luciano Spalletti, while Chiellini shouted abuse from a distance.
The Italian sports judge has announced that Chiellini has been banned until February 27, 2026, for ‘excited and disrespectful protest’.
Comolli is banned until March 31, 2026 for ‘aggressive and seriously intimidating behaviour’.
Finally, Kalulu, after being sent off for a foul on Alessandro Bastoni, will serve only one match for what was widely considered as a dive by the Inter defender.
All three will therefore miss the weekend’s match against Como, a crucial tie in Champions League qualification.
Chiellini will then return for Roma on March 1st, while Comolli will miss five Serie A matches in total.
What did Comolli say about the Juventus defeat?
While Juve’s squad and coach refused to speak to the media, Comolli did post-match.
“What happened tonight is a disgrace. It must never happen again,” Comolli said.
“It’s happened time and time again, and tonight is the perfect example of what we’ve seen all season.
“To see this happen in front of the whole world is simply scandalous.”
