Luis Enrique went viral after his bust-up with a FreeTV’s punditry team following a 3-1 win over Rennes.
Now journalist Alexandre Ruiz has responded after the PSG manager called him: “The most negative person in the history of football.”
The panel, which included former Barcelona star Ludovic Giuly, were discussing a tricky start for the Spaniard, coming off of a 4-1 Champions League defeat to Newcastle.
But when Ruiz asked about the negative aspects of a win over Rennes, Luis Enrique flipped out.
He said: “You only go to negative things. He’s impressive. In every interview.
“He’s the most negative guy in the history of world football. The other day we won 1-4 and he was telling me we deserved to lose.
“Rennes were superior to us in the first 25 minutes, because the players are not machines, they are footballers.”
No responding to the viral clip, Ruiz said: “When PSG beat Lyon 1-4 in September, I asked Luis Enrique that seeing the negative side can only be done by professionals, I told him there was gaps.
“It changed his face and changed everything between the two of us. In the game against Marseille, PSG played quite well and I said ‘chapeau, because the game has been huge’, and the question went well, but he has forgotten that and remembers only that of Lyon and that of yesterday.
“I will continue to interview him because we have the rights, in the match against Strasbourg he has the obligation to come. If he does not want to answer, it is his right, but the form and attitude is a lack of respect.”
