FIFA’s list of training complexes for World Cup teams contains one rather amusing option.
World football’s governing body published their list of training bases for the tournament across the Americas and one option in Mexico stood out.
A quick Google of the Fairmont Mayakoba in Cancún shows a football pitch with one corner behind trees.
The touchline the other side also curves slightly around trees and the goals are off centre.
FIFA have clearly noticed the problem, displaying updated images which show a smaller training pitch with the impacted section cut off for goalkeeper work.
