Feyenoord’s club spokesperson has laid into Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr for the failed transfer of David Hancko.
The Slovakian was expected to become the Eredivisie side’s all-time record sale at €40million, but a deal to join Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League has now fallen through.
Feyenoord now allege that Al Nassr stopped responding, and when Hancko returned to training they used it as a reason to call off any further negotiations.
“David has been treated in an exceptionally indecent manner,” club spokesperson Raymond Salomon said at the club’s pre-season training camp in Germany.
“It’s scandalous how the people at Al-Nassr treated David. He was involved [in negotiations] with Al-Nassr, and so was Feyenoord.
“Then they let him come to [our] training camp and suddenly tell him he’s no longer welcome there [at Al Nassr]. That’s unprecedented.”
