Matteo Guendouzi is saying goodbye to Lazio tonight before heading to Fenerbahce.
Leading Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport claim a deal is done with the Turkish Super Lig side for a fixed fee of €28million and a further €4m in add-ons.
Such a figure will see the 26-year-old become Fenerbahce‘s record signing, overtaking the €22.5m spent on Kerem Aktürkoğlu from Benfica in the summer.
The spending continues a massive upsurge in Istanbul, with Galatasaray forking out a gigantic €75m for Victor Osimhen from Napoli in the summer.
That figure is more than double the second-biggest deal the league has seen, €30m for Wilfried Singo, also by Gala.
Further showing how well the league, or at least Istanbul, appears to be doing, third on the list is Orkun Kokcu, who Besiktas bought from Benfica for €30m in the summer.
