Real Madrid and Barcelona thought they’d secured the future of Brazilian football by landing Endrick and Vitor Roque, but it hasn’t quite turned out that way.
The LaLiga and El Clasico rivals secured two of South America’s biggest attacking talents in January 2024, with Roque arriving straight away in a £26million move from Athletico Paranaense.
Endrick, meanwhile, signed but didn’t arrive until the summer in a £60m deal with Palmeiras.
Despite the fanfare around both, Roque had a terrible time at Barca and has publically slated them before joining Real Betis on loan.
Now it’s reported that he could make a permanent transfer, with Betis also not impressed by the youngster.
In a turn of events, Cadena SER report that Palmeiras are willing to offer £20m for the player, with the Brazilian transfer window open until February 28.
Betis are in talks with Barca, who are also keen to shift the player.
As for Endrick, his representatives are looking for a loan for 2025/26 after blocking one in January, AS claim.
The striker continues to keep scoring when he gets on the pitch, but that’s a rarity with only two first team players managing fewer minutes than him this season.
No specific clubs are mentioned, but AS say a loan to a ‘top level’ club is required to give the youngster the minutes he desperately wants.
