Ajax were plenty angry with their fans over a firework display that got their match with Groningen abandoned.
However, the Dutch FA are even more livid, making some remarkable threats.
The game was paused in the sixth minute at the Johann Cruyff Arena due to the fireworks and it didn’t restart.
Ajax condemned the actions, saying: “What happened tonight in the stadium is simply scandalous. The safety of the spectators and players was jeopardised. This is unacceptable.”
The Dutch FA have now gone even further in a statement, adding: “Those who do this are not here for the match or for football.
“People who set off fireworks will receive a fine of 450 euros, and a stadium ban ranging from eighteen to sixty months.”
