Borussia Dortmund’s January transfer window has hit a snag with Chelsea unexpectedly recalling loanee Aaron Anselmino.
Amid an injury crisis Chelsea triggered an option in the loan contract to recall the 20-year-old Argentine defender.
Commenting on the matter BVB said: “Borussia Dortmund deeply regrets the sudden departure of Aaron Anselmino.”
BILD go further, claiming the club are ‘furious’ and ‘astonished’ at Chelsea’s actions.
The move is particularly surprising, given the two clubs have worked well together in the past over players like Carney Chukwuemeka, Jamie Gittens and Ian Maatsen.
