Bayer Leverkusen are eyeing new coaching options for next season, and one of them is Brighton’s Fabian Hurzeler.
Sky Germany report that the 2023/24 Bundesliga champions haven’t been too pleased with Kasper Hjulmand since he replaced Erik ten Hag after just three games.
The Dane has stabilised things, but the football hasn’t been pretty.
And now Leverkusen are eyeing alternatives for next season, with Hurzeler a candidate.
The German-American enjoys a good reputation on the pitch in Germany, having got St. Pauli promoted to the Bundesliga at the age of 31.
He then became the youngest manager in Premier League injury at said age with a switch to Brighton, who he took to eighth in his debut season.
However, similar to his time in Germany, his public persona isn’t the best, with press conference performances often drawing ire from fans.
