After a season-worst 6-0 defeat away at Feyenoord, Ajax’s players had to endure some ugly scenes upon their return to Amsterdam.
Ajax lost De Klassieker in Rotterdam in humiliating fashion, suffering their biggest defeat in Eredivisie history during a season of lows.
Feyenoord had a whopping 30 shots to Ajax’s one, and fans in the away end suffered a Sunday from hell.
Some of those who didn’t make it to the game waited at the Johan Cruyff Arena to let the team feel the heat.
Supporters were heard shouting, among other things, ‘shame on you’ and were surprisingly calmed down by manager John van ‘t Schip.
Applause was then heard, and the team bus was allowed to clear. Police were present but no arrests were made.
