PSV’s Eredivisie dominance is causing all sorts of headaches at Feyenoord and Ajax.

The Eindhoven club are on their way to another league title, 11 points clear at the winter break, and the Netherlands other two of the big three are now reacting ahead of the January transfer window.

At Feyenoord, AD report that technical manager Mark Ruijl is set to lose his job over the club’s current dismal run.

Feyenoord have lost eight of their last 12, and although many are pointing at head coach Robin van Persie, he looks set for a stay of execution with the club wanting to give him a shot at a turnaround.

Meanwhile at Ajax, one of Van Persie’s long-time Dutch teammates Wesley Sneijder could find himself employed.

The club are still finalising their new management structure with Alex Kroes offering his resignation as technical director after a poor stint from his head coach John Heitinga.

Jordi Cruyff, the son of club legend Johann, remains favourite to take over as TD, but Sneijder is being considered for a role below in the pecking order.

He’s now revealed talks with general manager Menno Geelen, telling Ziggo Sport: “I had a good conversation with Menno, it was a very nice conversation, but first a TD has to be found.

“It was an official conversation. We discussed a few things that I can’t share here.

“The picture is very clear: we need a new technical director, and then we’ll see where my position lies.”

A change could also be seen at advisory level, with club legend Louis van Gaal recently talking up a return to international management, saying he’d like to coach a team like the US or Australia at the World Cup.

He also hasn’t sounded too enthusiastic about his current role saying: “This will take at least two or three years to fix.”
