With two defeats in three Ligue 1 games, Roberto De Zerbi has gone nuclear at Marseille.
The Italian saw his side fall 3-1 to newly promoted Auxerre on Friday night and now PSG have the chance to go nine points clear at the top of the table this weekend.
There was plenty of hope at OM that the arrival of De Zerbi and a number of star signings could have turned them into title challengers, but the team’s home form may have ruled that out, with just one win out of a possible five at the Velodrome.
And responding to that statistic, De Zerbi said: “I have to take responsibility for this home defeat.
“We have difficulties at home, that’s clear. I don’t know if it’s a lack of courage or personality. We mustn’t ask ourselves questions, we have to arrive on the pitch like a kamikaze.
“I’m going crazy not understanding why we succeed away from home and not here. I came here to play at the Vélodrome, to live the experience.
“If the problem is me, I’m ready to leave. I’m leaving without the money, the rest I don’t care about.”
De Zerbi then refused to blame his players and said he only cares about winning Ligue 1.
“Don’t talk to me about second place, or third or fourth,” added. “I came here to give something, to transmit, I live for something that transcends football.
“When I say that I am responsible, it is because I really feel responsible. I have no intention of unloading on others.”
