LaLiga president Javier Tebas has responded to the Administrative Court of Sport opening a disciplinary file against him by attacking Real Madrid’s Florentino Perez – but not by name.
Tebas is being investigated for a possible infringement over the agreement reached with the CVC fund. The complaint was made by Madrid, and punishments range from reprimands to disqualification and even dismissals.
Responding on social media, Tebas said: “It seems that someone does not accept that all of world football have unanimously rejected his European Super League, and that the CVC project with LaLiga was ratified with all the guarantees by an overwhelming majority of 39 out of 42 clubs and ratified by the courts.
“It seems that someone, an expert in political shenanigans, has to activate desperate means to try to impose his particular way of seeing football. Well, make no mistake, we will continue working and we will continue defending ourselves with all our might.”
Tebas finished: “This is a long road and I hope to win it definitively in the different stages. All those who think that Javier Tebas is going to be banned should continue to wait and see because that is not going to happen.”
