Nuri Sahin has already made an impression on his return to Borussia Dortmund.
The club legend left his coaching role at Antalyaspor to return to BVB, stepping in as an assistant coach under Edin Terzic.
Sahin was joined by Sven Bender, with Terzic under a huge amount of pressure due to Dortmund’s poor form.
Turkish outlet Sports Digitale, who first reported the story, claim that Sahin will take over from Terzic as head coach in the summer.
German outlets have counter-acted that line, but Sahin’s first training session in Marbella suggests that he may well be seeking control.
Sport1, who were live in Spain, claim that: “It was the two new assistant coaches who specified, guided and improved the training methods. And loud and clear.
“BVB coach Edin Terzic mostly only took on the role of observer.
“Unlike under former assistant coach Armin Reutershahn, the two returnees are taking over the reins.
“The other two assistants, Otto Addo and Sebastian Geppert, tend to stay in the background.”
