Despite LaLiga moving to announce refereeing appointments just 24 hours before a match, Real Madrid TV were still up to their old tricks.
The technical committee of referees and the Spanish football federation made the swap from several days before a match to just one in an effort to curb RMTV’s highly controversial attack videos.
They did have some success, with the channel unable to make a compilation in time, but they still discussed Cordero Vega (main referee) and Daniel Jesús Trujillo Suárez (VAR) who have been appointed for tonight’s match against Osasuna.
One panellist said: “Trujillo Suárez was in charge of the VAR in the last Osasuna-Real Madrid match at El Sadar and didn’t see or didn’t warn the on-field referee of three clear penalties in favour of Real Madrid, but he did intervene in a residual play to award a penalty to Camavinga.
“And now he’s repeating it in the same match on Matchday 1. Is it a coincidence? Is it a reward?”
