With Real Madrid’s medical team getting hammered for their practices, one of their former employees has resurfaced to stick the boot in.
Real were accused of examining Kylian Mbappe’s wrong knee by RMC Sport on Tuesday, and their claims have been corroborated in Spain.
Mbappe went to France for specialist treatment on the long-term ailment, creating an almighty media storm even before the latest revelations.
Now, making things even more stark, are claims from former nutritionist Itziar González de Arriba.
The medical expert left in December 2025, claiming hostile work environment, and says she was replaced by basic large language AI.
“Thank you, Kylian. Hopefully, they will look for competent and trained people, instead of ignorant narcissists who only harm young people,” she wrote on social media.
“Although I don’t know what’s worse: this or that the supplements are based on free ChatGPT.”
González de Arriba’s claims
Departing Real in late 2025, she told MARCA: “The medical staff created a hostile environment from the very beginning.
“On my first day, they told me I was there because of the president’s whim, but that they knew how to manipulate him and that he did everything they wanted, and that they were going to manipulate him into thinking I was crazy and sacking me.
“They didn’t introduce me, greet me, or speak to me. They never met with me, despite my repeated requests; they didn’t answer my emails or messages.”
