Rayo Vallecano’s 0-0 home draw with Real Madrid faced a total power outage on Sunday, but thankfully before the match got underway.
However, the reasons for the power going down at Vallecas are still rather amusing.
Ben Fernandes Santos, a writer for Grada 3, later revealed he was at fault for the issue while the players were inspecting the pitch pre-match.
“Actually, the problem was with the socket that was in my place,” he wrote on social media.
“It was unplugged and, naively, I plugged in my computer to charge it.
“A technician came and told me that I shouldn’t have unplugged it, because it was the cable that powered everything. All I can do is apologise.”
