It may have been one of PSG’s best-ever Champions League wins, but some of their legends didn’t get to see it.
Luis Enrique’s side overcame Premier League leaders Liverpool on penalties at Anfield in one of their most impressive European displays to date.
Everyone wanted a ticket to the crunch match, and among them were former PSG players Jeremy Menez and Idrissa Gueye, currently of Everton.
However, according to SOFOOT, the pair were thrown out of Anfield for over-celebrating.
Speaking post-match on Canal+, Samir Nasri added: “A thought for those who were kicked out of the stadium too.
“Jérémy Ménez was at the match, he was asked if he was French. After his answer, they told him to leave the stadium… in the 70th minute no less!”
