Former Lyon, Nantes and Mallorca striker Tino Kadewere has been dropped from Zimbabwe’s squad over an altercation with a female journalist.
The forward, who currently plays for Aris in Greece, reportedly stormed over to blogger Yvonne Mangunda during a training session in Johannesburg and prodded her in the chest while threatening her.
The Harare Times claim Kadewere accused her of negative posts about him on Facebook and that he had to be calmed down by teammates as he mocked her physical appearance.

“We value the media as vital partners in our game and will always ensure they can work without fear or intimidation.
“The player has apologised, an amicable resolution has been reached, and the matter is being handled internally.
“Together, let’s keep football a space of respect and unity.”
Kadewere as since been expelled from the Zimbabwe squad who then drew 1-1 with Niger.
