Any hopes of a return to Real Madrid for Luka Modric have been quashed again by the Croatian.
In just his first season in Italy Modric has become an icon at AC Milan and talked up his support for the Serie A side as a child.
Now in a huge display of love for his new home, he’s decided to donate his 2018 Ballon d’Or trophy to the city’s museum.
Speaking about the decision, the 40-year-old said: “When the club first spoke to me about this idea, I didn’t hesitate for a second.
“From day one, I felt great and loved by all the fans. This is a small gesture to reciprocate all the affection they have shown me since I arrived at Milan.”
Looking at his trophy’s new home, he added: “It’s wonderful to see this photo.
“It brings back so many memories because I was a huge Milan fan as a child.
“I’ve fulfilled this dream and I’ve been enjoying it from day one.”
