Lamine Yamal took over Spain’s Euro 2024 win over France and left Adrien Rabiot more red-faced than anyone.
The 16-year-old fired in a goal for the ages in the 2-1 victory that booked Spain a final date in Berlin with either England or the Netherlands.
During the post-match celebrations Yamal rubbed his fingers together shouting ‘Speak! Speak!’ and it was clear who he was directing it at.
Before the game, France‘s Rabiot was asked about the youngster and said: “If he wants to go to the final, he has to do more than he has done so far.”
Yamal certainly did that, and when asked about his post-match gesture, he said: “My celebration? It was for the person who knows it’s for him.
“I’m very happy for the victory and for helping the team, which has gone through to the final. In the end, you don’t have to give any importance to any of that. I have helped the team.”
