Kylian Mbappe’s previous undoubted status as one of the most valuable players in world football has taken a serious knock since moving to Real Madrid.
The France captain and goalscoring megastar has long been right at the top of Transfermarkt’s market value rankings, but that’s no longer the case.
The world-renowned transfer website has updated its values for the end of 2024, and Mbappe has dropped from €180million to €160m.
That decrease, combined with a boost for Barcelona rival Lamine Yamal, has seen Mbappe finally fall out of the top three and down to fifth.
Madrid teammate Jude Bellingham has stayed on €180m, while Lamine has jumped from €150m to €180m, putting him third.
The top two haven’t changed, with Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Madrid’s Vinicius Jr still on a leading €200m.
Elsewhere in the top 10 there have been upward moves for Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz, Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala and Chelsea’s Cole Palmer.
Helping them jump up the rankings has been a drop for City’s Phil Foden who has had a poor start to the season for the reigning Premier League champions.
