Real Madrid are ready to go all-in for Erling Haaland.
AS report that the Manchester City striker will become their no.1 target on January 15, if Kylian Mbappe hasn’t given them his signature by that date.
When the clock ticks over to midnight on New Year’s Eve, Madrid will be free to negotiate with Mbappe, who enters the final six months of his PSG contract.
After alerting the French giants of their talks, as per FIFA rules, Madrid will then contact Mbappe’s mother and agent, Fayza Lamari, and inform her of the January 15 deadline.
Madrid are intent on offering the 25-year-old the same terms he rejected in the summer of 2022, and not a penny more, otherwise, they’ll move on to Haaland.
Still reeling from the events of 2022, Florentino Perez won’t be left hanging by Mbappe this time around, happy to let him join another side for free in the summer.
That means Haaland will then be the target, with his contract expiring at City in 2027.
The Norwegian megastar is understood to have a £150million release clause, but reports claim that pricetag is lower for Madrid, the club he’s long dreamed of playing for.
Nevertheless, if neither player does join in 2024, Madrid are feeling increasingly confident with their options up front, having added Endrick to Rodrygo, Vinicius and Jude Bellingham.
