Paris Saint-Germain are ready to go all out for Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich.
The French giants have prioritised the signing of the midfielder after entering negotiations over Nordi Mukiele, claims RMC Sport and Sky Germany.
Mukiele is ready to join Bayern, and is seen as the perfect defensive signing for January with Kim Min-jae away at the Asian Cup.
PSG are willing to let the player go, but only until they have a replacement lined-up, with Kimmich now the top choice.
Thomas Tuchel was previously reported to be targeting Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes, but Kimmich may be more attainable.
Tuchel has regularly criticised the vice-captain in the media, particularly for his inability to play as a defensive midfielder.
However, Luis Enrique deems Kimmich a more than suitable option for the middle of the park, while he can also play in defense to replace Mukiele.
RMC call the deal ‘mission almost impossible’ given Kimmich’s status at Bayern, and the club rejecting PSG’s first approach.
However, talks are set to continue.
