Fenerbahce president Ali Koc has used an unusual method to distance himself from rumours about Jose Mourinho.
The head of the Turkish giants has previously faced unhelpful headlines about his relationship with Mourinho, including some that they enjoyed nights out drinking together during their first season.
However, speaking at a club members assembly ahead of the new campaign he quashed those claims in emphatic fashion.
“They say I used to spend nights with Mourinho,” he began.
“That man doesn’t even drink alcohol. He’s the most boring man in the world outside of football.
“He only talks about football. He always talks about football, there’s nothing else.”
Former Fenerbahce president Aziz Yıldırım then responded: “It would be very embarrassing if I told them what you told me about Mourinho. Don’t make me talk.”
