Barcelona’s president, Joan Laporta, will take legal action against ex-comissioner José Manuel Villarejo, the club has announced.
Villarejo claimed in an interview with RAC1 that “people from the environment” of Joan Laporta gave “information about (ex-president) Sandro Rosell “, which led to his imprisonment for almost two years.
Leaving the hosts absolutely stunned, Villarejo said: “Even if he is not a politician, there are three types of enemies in politics: the furious, the bloodthirsty and the party comrade.
“In the case of Mr. Rosell, it was Laporta who gave them the information about Sandro Rosell.”
The club told ccma.cat that the claims are ‘totally false’ and they will now inact legal action.
