One of Spain’s most one-sided rivalries has reared its head again over Barcelona’s signing of Joan Garcia.
The Espanyol shot stopper looks set to move across Catalunya and join Hansi Flick’s side after a stellar season.
The decision to join Espanyol’s fiercest rivals hasn’t gone down well, particularly when he’s had interest from elsewhere.
Arsenal were reportedly ready to make an offer from Garcia and other Premier League teams made a pitch.
However, he’s chosen Barca, and fans aren’t happy.
Graffiti has appeared in his home municipality of Sallent calling him a traitor and rat while another wall has ‘f*** Barca’ written on it.
It’s understood that Garcia will sign for five years with Espanyol pocketing €25million.
