Porto fans jumped over a barrier in the second tier stand B at the Alvalade, and then glass screens that protect the top tier from the lower tier shattered.
Glass could be seen falling onto Sporting fans below, with many leaving their seats.
Record report that 17 of them later required minor medial attention in the VIP boxes.
