Fabio Grosso has been sacked by Lyon according to multiple reports in France.
The Italian former club left-back was due to attend a press conference this morning, but OL quickly deleted that plan from their social channels.
Grosso replaced Laurent Blanc on September 18 and departs two months later as the club’s shortest-tenured full-time Ligue 1 head coach.
The 46-year-old former Frosinone boss departs with a record of one win, two draws, and four defeats from seven games, and sadly also a number of stitches.
Grosso was struck during an attack by Marseille fans on a team bus and left bloodied with a black eye and a scar.
Former Lyon boss Bruno Genesio is under consideration, as are ex-Marseille pair Jorge Sampaoli and Igor Tudor.
