Erik ten Hag isn’t even yet an FC Twente employee but he’s already causing drama at the Eredivisie side.
The former Manchester United and Ajax head coach will officially join the club on February 1st before taking over as sporting director in the summer.
Yet his comments about the club’s current head coach have already caused issues.
Asked about John van den Brom, Ten Hag said: “He’s a good coach. He has a lot of experience and has had a lot of success.
“We know each other a little, but not very deeply. We’ll have discussions and see if our visions align. And then decide from there.”
Ten Hag gets agent’s response
Those comments haven’t gone down brilliantly, with his agent responding ahead of a derby between Twente and Heracles.
“From what I hear, it’s not going to work out,” Guido Albers told ESPN
“He could also have said he’s happy with John and that their visions align. But he’s saying the opposite.”
