Both Premier League legends in their own right, Claudio Ranieri is certain Cesc Fabregas is destined for the same coaching heights.
A winner in England with Leicester, Ranieri took on the Arsenal legend for the first time as a coach as Roma downed Como 2-1 in Serie A.
Recently promoted Como have found their groove under the Spaniard recently, and after another impressive display, Ranieri wanted to give his opponent some credit.
The elder statesman was captured on camera saying: “Honour to Como,” before giving Fabregas a warm hug.
Fabregas then said: “I hope to become like you,” before Ranieri replied: “You don’t have to hope for my career. I’m telling you this with my heart.”
Later in his press conference, Ranieri was again asked about his opponent and said: “It was a very difficult match. I told Fabregas that he will reach very important levels.
“A coach so young who makes the team play in this way: he is destined for the top clubs. And Como will also become a top club.”
