While Xabi Alonso was keen not to publicly criticise Vinicius Jr, his international manager, Carlo Ancelotti, wasn’t so generous.
The Brazil coach was addressing the media ahead of November’s fixtures when he was asked about Vini’s Clasico outburst at his Real Madrid coach.
Ancelotti, who already worked with Vinicius in Madrid, responded: “I told him what I thought, that he had made a mistake. He understood, and I think he’s already corrected it.
“He’s a very important player and has no problems here, at his club, or with his coach.
“I’m not his father or his brother, I just want to be his coach. His personal life is his own.”
