With Jurgen Klopp and Xavi announcing their decisions to quit at the end of the season, a third manager could make another bombshell.
Sport in Spain claim that Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta has told his management that he is considering quitting the London club.
Arteta has a contract until 2025, but is yet to sign a new one, and has cut a frustrated figure at the Emirates this season.
The outlet claims that the Basque is yet to fully decide, and will see how the season plays out, but he’s made clear to his entourage that it’s a possibility.
The timing of the news is curious, with a vacancy now opening up at Arteta’s former club Barcelona.
However, despite the fact that he was a target in 2021 when the team dismissed Ronald Koeman, Sport add that he has not yet been approached about taking over at Camp Nou.
