Brazilian football expert gives damning verdict on Endrick v Vitor Roque

Barcelona and Real Madrid have landed the top two young forwards in Brazil, but which is better?

The El Clasico rivals continued their search for the next Neymar, with the Madrid side landing Endrick from Palmerias for £61million, and the Catalans Vitor Roque for up to £52m from Athletico Paranaense.

Real will have to wait until the summer for 17-year-old Endrick to officially join them, while Roque is expected to debut for Barca this month.

The pair are both teenage forwards and Brazil internationals, leading to much fanfare.

However, according to renowned Brazilian football expert Fernando Kallás, there’s a clear answer on who got the better player.

The Reuters and DAZN journalist said: “Endrick is a more spectacular player, a player who is in the area less than Vitor Roque, but he has more goals than Vitor Roque.

“Endrick has more situations of creating plays alone, more or less like Ronaldo did.

“It’s a comparison that is difficult for me to make, but there are not many similar players.

“He picks up the ball in the centre of the field, makes a run with three touches and shoots a missile from the edge of the area and puts it into the corner, that’s how good he is.

“Barça have signed a very good player, he can be a high-level player for the club for many years, while what Madrid signs is a player with the potential to be the best in the world.

“They are different realities, and I love Vitor Roque… I think they are both going to be in the Brazilian team for a long time.
