Thiago Silva is only three games into his Brazilian football return with Fluminense, but he’s already fed up.
The former Chelsea defender rejoined the Campeonato Brasileiro 2024 and has three wins from three, however, kick-off times have already bothered him, with their last match an 11am start.
“For the love of God, we can’t play at 11am,” he said. “People need to ask themselves about this.
“Let’s put aside the interests of the people who organise all this, games that early don’t make any sense. It’s inhuman.
“Normally we train at 9am to escape the heat at 11am and then they make us play at that time, it’s absurd.”
And we thought the scheduling was bad in Europe…
