One of Serie A’s brightest stars, there were surprise scenes as Nico Paz was reduced to tears during Como’s draw with Atalanta.
The Argentina international won a penalty in the eighth minute of stoppage time to break the deadlock, but the match ended 0-0 with an easy save.
Paz was then seen in tears as he applauded the away end, something head coach Cesc Fabregas had to comment on.
“I’m not the kind of person who questions his players after a mistake,” he said.
“It hurts, but it has to hurt because it’s part of the journey.
“We’re always very united, we’re with Nico and with all the young players who want to make a difference.
“A great champion must keep his head held high when things aren’t going well.”
