Bordeaux have spoken out after their new takeover was rejected on appeal.
The French giants have been administratively relegated twice under Gerard Lopez, the man who also took Boavista out of existence.
Having played last season in the fourth tier they failed to pay €10.6million in debts, pushing them down to the amateur sixth-tier regional leagues.
British firm Sparta Capital stumped up the debt, but on a retainer with the condition they’d be re-instated to the fourth tier on appeal.
However, the the CNOSF upheld the DNCG’s decision and Sparta pulled out, leaving Bordeaux tumbling.
Another British firm, The Park Bench investment group have tried to take over the side and have again failed with another appeal against their relegation.
Bordeaux have stayed quiet since the previously celebrated Sparta Capital’s investment that was later withdrawn.
Now breaking their silence, they promised to fight on.
A statement read:” FC Girondins de Bordeaux takes note with regret of the decision issued this Friday by the Paris Administrative Tribunal, rejecting the request submitted by the Club and its new investors.
“The Tribunal considered that the new financial commitments provided after the hearing before the DNCG Appeals Commission on July 15 might not be taken into account in the context of this procedure.
“The Club regrets that the significant guarantees provided in recent weeks to ensure its continuity cannot be subject to a new review by the DNCG.
“FC Girondins de Bordeaux will now study, as quickly as possible, all the remaining avenues of appeal available to it.
“The Club and its shareholders remain fully mobilised to defend the future of the Girondins.”
