Under the spotlight since the age of 15, Real Madrid and Lyon’s Endrick hasn’t enjoyed the attention.
Now aged 19, the former Palmeiras starlet has become one of the biggest names in Brazil due to his record-breaking scoring for club and country.
That saw Madrid pick him up, where it hasn’t quite worked out before his loan to Lyon.
Endrick’s public and private life is forever part of the news cycle in Brazil, Spain and France, and it’s something he regrets.
“It’s difficult,” he told Telefoot. “Young people who think fame only brings positive things are wrong .
“For me, it’s one of the worst things that can exist. I hope that one day I can enjoy my life peacefully.”
Endrick’s hopes for the future
Despite the pressures, Endrick is enjoying his current situation in Lyon and is hoping for a spot at the World Cup with Brazil.
“Mbappé and Camavinga told me that Ligue 1 was a good league and very aggressive,” he said.
“They strongly recommended that I sign for Lyon because it’s a great team . I appreciate their good advice.”
He then finished: “I hope to do great things with Olympique Lyonnais and, God willing, go to the World Cup to help Brazil.”
