Dani Carvajal’s outburst at Bukayo Saka could cost Real Madrid their captain for the start of next season.
The Madrid right back has been injured for six months but was on the touchline to see his side lose 2-1 to Arsenal in the Champions League quarter-finals, and 5-1 on aggregate.
From there he got a little too involved at half-time, appearing to give Saka a dressing down for his Panenka penalty that was saved.
Carvajal spoke in the forward’s ear and then patted him on the chest, and after Saka said something back he proceeded to grab him by the arm and neck.
MARCA report that this could spell huge trouble for Carvajal as players who aren’t in the squad aren’t allowed to enter the technical area.
Xabi Alonso was once punished for such an act when he entered the area in the closing stages of the 2014 final win and he was later banned a game.
Because Carvajal’s act was aggressive, he could receive up to four matches banned, according to article 11 of the UEFA disciplinary regulations
