While PSG’s Ligue 1 dominance since their Qatari takeover isn’t quite as floorless as say Bayern Munich’s, under Luis Enrique it’s been a different story.
Paris have not only won the last four Ligue 1 titles with relative ease, but last season they took their first ever Champions League crown to become the best side the French capital has ever seen.
This season the magic seems to have worn off a little. Back into the European play-offs against Monaco, PSG can’t win another treble having been knocked out of the Coupe de France by Paris FC.
Things are far from flawless in the league, too, with RC Lens just two points behind.
Much of the 1998 champion’s success has been attributed to their star coach Pierre Sage, and now he’s had his say on whether PSG are unbeatable in France.
“PSG is beatable, provided they don’t play like PSG,” he said. “It largely depends on them.
“We can disrupt their game at certain points. But overall, it’s quite difficult.”
The two sides face off on April 12th in Lens, with the reverse a 2-0 win for Luis Enrique.
Sage added: “We have to play a perfect match against them.
“And for the title, I think that in any case, we’ll have to beat Paris, and then we’ll see where we stand. On April 12th at 11 p.m, we might know a little more.”
