Social media likes can be overstated, but this one from Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham may well not be.
The Real Madrid midfielder liked a post from Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni after his side’s astonishing 7-6 Champions League semi-final win over Barcelona.
Now it could just be that Bellingham was happy to see Los Blancos’ biggest rivals exit the competition, but the pictures add more drama.
Two of Bastoni’s three pictures were of him beating Lamine Yamal in duels, and Bellingham has a reason not to be too keen on the Barca youngster.
Ahead of this weekend’s LaLiga Clasico between the teams, famous Scottish pundit Graeme Souness turned the heat up on Bellingham.
“Watching Bellingham at Real Madrid lately has worried me,” said Souness.
“He had an incredible first season in Spain and looked like he was conquering the world, but now I have a bad feeling he’s no longer listening.
“I hope I’m wrong, but this season has been disappointing, and his behaviour needs to be questioned. He showed no remorse and repeatedly got into unnecessary altercations with referees.
“If Bellingham is taking advice from someone, it seems to be sending him in the wrong direction. And if he sees his actions as healthy passion, he’s mistaken.
“He’s the perfect example of what Lamine Yamal should avoid. At just 17, Yamal is making decisions on the field that you’d expect from much more experienced players.
“We’re clearly witnessing the rise of a very special talent.”
The Spanish press have jumped on the social media activity, and Bellingham may have now added even more spice to the potential title decider.
